Daniels named interim chief nursing officer at WVU Medicine-Camden Clark Medical Center

Chris Daniels, who serves as the nurse director of multiple nursing units at WVU Medicine-WVU Hospitals, has been named interim chief nursing officer (CNO) at WVU Medicine-Camden Clark Medical Center, effective Oct. 1.

Daniels is filling the role being left vacant by Tom Mars, who is retiring.

Daniels, who has more than 20 years of leadership experience, currently serves as the inpatient nurse director for these areas: neurology and neurosurgery; trauma; orthopaedics; and medical, surgical, and Hospice.

During the time that Daniels is serving in the interim CNO role, Rhonda Hamilton, inpatient nurse manager of orthopaedics, will provide director coverage. Cassi Poster, who is a clinical preceptor for orthopaedics, will fill Hamilton’s position on an interim basis.

A national search for the CNO role at WVU Medicine-Camden Clark Medical Center will be conducted.
