Donations being accepted through May 9 for Blue and Gold Mine Sale

WVU and the United Way of Monongalia and Preston counties are asking faculty, staff, and students to drop off gently used items they wish to donate to the Blue and Gold Mine Sale Monday, April 30, through Wednesday, May 9.

Items like furniture, home décor, kitchenware, clothing, and electronics are welcome; however, mattresses, box springs, CRT televisions, and computer monitors will not be accepted. For complete details, visit bluegoldmine.wvu.edu/donations.

Collection boxes will be placed in each residence hall, in addition to four outdoor donation stations around Morgantown: at Chateau Royale, the the top of Falling Run Road, Seneca Center, and Grant Street.

The sale is set for Saturday, May 12, from 7 a.m. to noon at the east concourse of the Milan Puskar Stadium. All proceeds from this large rummage sale will benefit United Way. The early bird admission is $5 (7-8:30 a.m.), and free admission begins at 8:30 a.m. Shoppers will have the option of purchasing a custom reusable bag to fit as many items as the bag will hold for one flat rate of $20.
