Dr. Robert Johnstone honored for service to Continuing Education Committee

After four years as the chair of the WVU School of Medicine Continuing Education (CE) Committee, Department of Anesthesiology Professor Robert E. Johnstone, M.D., has retired from that role.

"Dr. Johnstone has led the committee very effectively with his expertise and integrity," said Melanie Fisher, M.D., M.Sc., assistant dean for Continuing Medical Education. "During Dr. Johnstone's tenure as chair, the WVU School of Medicine CE Prorgram received accreditation with commendation by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME). He is truly committed to the ongoing education and professional development of all physicians. We are extremely grateful to Dr. Johnstone for his leadership of the CE Committee and service to WVU."

The Office of Continuing Education recently hosted a reception for Johnstone, who has served as the CE Committee chair since July 2011.
