Employee wellness screenings to be completed through annual visit with primary care provider

WVU Medicine employees can once again save money on the upcoming year's health insurance premiums by participating in the Key Rewards wellness screenings.

This year's screening process will operate differently than it has in past years. For plan year 2017, there will NOT be any on-site wellness screenings. All wellness screenings MUST be completed through an annual wellness/prevention visit with a primary care provider. These visits can occur any time before Sunday, Nov. 6. If your appointment is after Nov. 6, contact the Wellness Center office for other options.

There are seven steps all WVU Medicine employees and covered spouses of union employees must complete by Nov. 6:

  • Annual wellness/prevention visit with primary care provider, which will include screening of
    • Blood pressure
    • Body mass index
    • Fasting LDL cholesterol
    • Fasting glucose
  • Tobacco affidavit for employee and covered spouse
  • Wellness profile questionnaire, online through Highmark

As a reminder, employees and covered spouses of union employees must complete the wellness consent and tobacco affidavit through their MyWVUChart account for biometric values to be pulled. The most recent values will be pulled up to Nov. 6. Any biometrics taken after this date will not be captured.
