Exempt flu vaccine employees must wear masks

Influenza is now prevalent in the Morgantown area as determined by Infection Control, the local health department, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. As such, WVU Medicine employees who have an approved flu vaccine exemption under Policy V.033 Influenza Vaccination Program must begin wearing masks while working on any WVU Medicine-owned or leased property in the Morgantown area. The masking requirement will remain in effect until further notice.

Employee Health will provide each exempt employee with one box of masks. Masks may be picked up from Employee Health beginning Friday, Dec. 29, until 4:30 pm.  Employee Health will close for the New Year holiday and re-open on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, at 6:30 a.m. Employees must pick up their masks by 4:30 pm on Friday, Jan. 5. Off-campus employees may request to have masks sent to them via interoffice mail. Additional boxes of masks may be obtained from Supply Chain Operations.
