To improve communication in the event of a campus emergency, faculty and staff are urged to opt in to the WVU emergency alert system. Emergency alerts are sent only when there is an imminent threat to the health or safety of the on-campus community, or when weather conditions cause delays or close the University.

Standard University announcements do not generate emergency alerts. Faculty and staff can use the faculty/staff registration form at ttp://emergency.wvu.edu/signup to sign up or log into the WVU Alert system at the link above to update their information.
