Faculty, staff, residents encouraged to complete internal communications survey

A message from Albert Wright and Clay Marsh

It’s an exciting time for WVU Healthcare and the WVU Health Sciences Center – one of unprecedented growth and change.

Although we all have different roles to play, we’re all one team in the eyes of our patients, our students and the people of our state and region. So it’s important that we communicate among ourselves effectively – and that you get the information you need and always feel informed.

While we have many tools that we use for organization-wide communication, we want to take a fresh look at how we disseminate information.

That’s why we’re asking you to take a few minutes to complete this important internal communications survey: https://wvu.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_86S0cmlF3MxvhI1. Understanding your preferences as to how you want to receive information will help us enhance our practices.

This survey is for everyone who works on our campuses and at our satellite locations. Some of you work at a desk and have easy access to a computer. Others move about our facilities providing direct patient care, keeping our facilities clean, fixing our computers, securing our environment, etc. We want to make sure we’re effectively communicating with everyone.

While we’re encouraging all employees to complete the electronic version of the survey, we know that’s not a convenient option for everyone. That’s why you have the option of printing the survey and mailing it to PO Box 8262. We encourage those who supervise employees in areas where this will be a better option to make copies and share them with staff.

As you complete the survey, please keep in mind that we are not seeking input on departmental communication or communication from your supervisor. We’re looking for your feedback on organization-wide communication.

Thank you for taking the time to respond to the survey. Always feel free to send your ideas and feedback to wrightal@wvuhealthcare.com and cbmarsh@hsc.wvu.edu.
