Former WVU Department of Radiology resident receives Gold Medal Award

David H. Epstein, M.D., F.A.C.R. was presented with the Gold Medal Award on Saturday, August 6 at the Florida Radiological Society’s Annual Meeting.  Dr. Epstein was recognized for outstanding meritorious achievements that have contributed significantly to the practice of radiology in Florida. 

Dr. Epstein grew up in Silver Spring, MD. He went on to earn his undergraduate and medical degrees at Northwestern University, before completing his residency in diagnostic radiology at West Virginia University and Cardiovascular Interventional fellowship at the University of Minnesota.

He joined Radiology Associates of Hollywood in 1989, and has served on multiple committees with the Society of Interventional Radiology, Broward County Medical Association, and the Florida Radiology Society, including President 2005-2006. In addition, Dr. Epstein has participated on the Florida Medicare Contractor Advisory Board since 2002, is a member of the clinical faculties of Florida Atlantic and Florida International Universities. Dr. Epstein, and has also worked with international medical missions to India, Panama, Honduras and the Kurdish Region of Iraq.
