Friends Gift Shop unveils new T-shirts to benefit breast cancer research at WVU

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University Hospitals’ Friends Gift Shop has added two new T-shirts to its breast cancer awareness clothing collection, and part of the proceeds from the sale of the shirts will benefit breast cancer research at WVU’s Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center.

Both officially licensed shirts bear the “Flying WV” trademark and the Cancer Center graphic. A white T-shirt with the words “Passionate about Pink” spanning across the front costs $39.99, and a black T-shirt with a pink ribbon on it costs $29.99.

“I think these shirts will sell well because they are unique to WVU and will help support local efforts to find a cure for breast cancer,” Pat Antion, manager of Friends who developed the “Passionate about Pink” design in collaboration with WVU’s Cancer Center and licensee Under Armour, said.

In addition to Friends Gift Shop, the shirts are being marketed to retailers throughout West Virginia.
