Fundraisers to support WVU Cancer Institute Comfort Fund being held
The WVU Cancer Institute is holding two fundraisers to benefit its Comfort Fund.
On Saturday, Feb. 11, from 8-10 a.m., a pancake breakfast will be held at Applebee's in Morgantown. Tickets to the event are $10 each and can be purchased on Wednesday, Feb. 1, from 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m. in the cafeteria at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital.
Tickets to the breakfast will also be available at the door. The breakfast menu includes: pancakes, bacon, potatoes, and beverages. Raffle tickets for WVU Basketball-themed prizes will be available at the event, and Monti Bear and the WVU Mountaineer, Troy Clemons, will make an appearance.
T-shirts featuring the Comfort Fund logo will also available during the ticket sale on Feb. 11, as well as at the breakfast. The shirts cost $15 each.
The Comfort Fund provides short-term financial assistance on a temporary basis for qualifying patients who are undergoing treatment at the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center and Betty Puskar Breast Care Center.
