Health in West Virginia: The Next 150 Years (Town Hall)

Event Date: 03/28/2018

Event Location: Okey Patteson Auditorium, WVU Health Sciences Center

West Virginia University President E. Gordon Gee will join Health Sciences Vice President and Executive Dean Clay Marsh, MD, and WVU Medicine President and CEO Albert L. Wright Jr., at a Health Sciences Town Hall on Wednesday, March 28, at noon.

The event is free and open to the public.

Discussion will center around how WVU Medicine is growing its networks to make sure West Virginians have access to the care they need. That effort includes constructing new spaces to provide the best in women’s and children’s care, heart and brain health, and cancer treatment, and conducting revolutionary research that addresses issues such as the opioid epidemic, stroke, and diabetes and obesity. The group will also focus on how WVU is collaborating with state partners through West Virginia Forward to advance prosperity.

Much of the session will be a Q&A with audience members.

The session will be available online for those who cannot attend in person: http://www.hsc.wvu.edu/live-feed. If you can’t make it and would like to submit a question, please fill this form: https://wvuhsc.wufoo.com/forms/m1rhaji41ebdvhj/
