HealthSouth offers fall prevention education opportunities

HealthSouth Mountain View Regional Rehabilitation Hospital will hold fall prevention clinics from 8 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Aug. 26, and Sept. 2, at 1160 Van Voorhis Road, Morgantown. The clinics include an individual fall risk and balance screening as well as recommendations from a physical therapist on how to reduce fall risk. To register, call 304-285-1049.

In addition, HealthSouth will offer fall prevention exercise classes, which will improve balance and reduce fall risk. Scheduled for 9-10 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, the classes begin Sept. 9 and run through Nov. 30. A free fall prevention balance screen is required prior to class participation.
