Healthy Berkeley announces Truffle Shuffle 5K and Kids' Fun Run

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. -- Want to participate in a healthy activity and get chocolate as a reward?  Healthy Berkeley will be hosting the Truffle Shuffle 5K and Kids' Fun Run on Saturday, April 29 to kick off the Chocolate Fest in downtown Martinsburg.

Participants are welcome to walk or run the 5K. Children 13 and younger are free for the 5K, and the Kids Fun Run is free to all children 12 and under. Families are encouraged to participate together.  Proceeds from the Truffle Shuffle will go toward physical activity grants for area schools.

All 5K finishers will receive a truffle from DeFluri’s Chocolates. Awards will be presented to the top male and female finishers, as well as the top three male and female winners in the 10-year-age group. All participants who pre-register for the 5K before April 13 will be guaranteed a T-shirt. T-shirts not guaranteed for those who register after April 13.

For those who have pre-registered, packet pick-up will be held from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on April 28 at The Wellness Center at Berkeley Medical Center. Race day packet pick up and registration begins at 7 a.m. The 5K will start at 8 a.m., and the Kids' Fun Run will follow the 5K at approximately 9 a.m.
