HSC Internal Study Section Review deadlines for February, March NIH applications announced

Faculty, who are interested in submitting a new National Institutes of Health grant application in February or a revised NIH application in March, should consider participating in the Health Sciences Center Internal Study Section Review.

As part of Health Sciences' effort to support PIs, it has established an internal HSC-wide study section for pre-review of proposals. Two panels of senior reviewers have been identified that include faculty with significant funding records and service on NIH study sections. The goal is to provide constructive feedback in a timely manner to support increased competitiveness of applications.

Pre-review forms for new proposals are due to Valerie Lemasters by Dec. 1. Full proposals are due by noon Dec. 28. Pre-review forms for revised proposals are due Jan. 2. Full proposals are due by noon Jan. 30. The School of Public Health Office of Research will gladly help any faculty member interested in developing a proposal before these due dates.
