Heart and Vascular Institute takes spotlight at Black Bears game; photo gallery available
The partnership between WVU Medicine and the West Virginia Black Bears continued July 6 as the WVU Heart and Vascular Institute (HVI) was on hand at Monongalia County Ballpark. Representatives from HVI passed out flyers about a free screening event in October and talked with Black Bears fans about WVU Medicine services and providers. Partho Sengupta, MD, the section chief of cardiology and director of cardiovascular imaging, threw out the ceremonial first pitch. During the game, the public address announcer read announcements that showcased HVI services and reminded the crowd about the screening event. After the game, there was a fireworks display presented by WVU Medicine.
It was the second of four scheduled "WVU Medicine Nights" at Black Bears' games this year.
Employees are offered discounts and incentives from the Black Bears, which can be found at http://connect.wvuhealthcare.com/news/story?headline=west-virginia-black-bears-2018-season-tickets-are-on-sale-now
