The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at West Virginia University is seeking volunteer instructors to teach classes this fall (Sept. 26-Nov. 4) in Morgantown and Charleston.
OLLI offers noncredit courses geared toward adults 50 and older in the arts, economics, health and wellness, humanities, science, math and other areas.
Members learn in an environment without tests or grades.
“OLLI offers older adults the opportunity to explore a new interest and meet new people; to remain mentally, physically and socially active; and learn simply for the fun of it,” Director of OLLI at WVU Jascenna Haislet said. “Our members are enthusiastic, engaged and eager students.”
Day and evening classes run one to six sessions, usually two hours per session. Most classes in Morgantown are held at the Mountaineer Mall; Charleston locations vary.
Current and retired educators, business and civic leaders and others are encouraged to submit fall course proposals by July 22.
