Interprofessional Education Speaker Series features Occ Med professor

Dr. Alan Ducatman, professor in the West Virginia University schools of Public Health and Medicine, will give a talk on "Across Professions and Institutions: What Does It Take to Eliminate Unneeded Care?" at 12:15 p.m. Friday (Aug. 26) in Room 1905 Health Sciences Center North. The presentation is part of the HSC Interprofessional Education Speaker Series.


Learning objectives

The attendee will be able to:

  • provide the reasons for the goals of the Choosing Wisely campaign and potential clinician concerns
  • recognize the complexity of discussions concerning cost savings in health care
  • envision a team that can lead a similar effort, including a list of disciplines essential to the effort
  • present criteria for judging the success of a quality improvement program


Continuing education credits available:

CME, CDE, CNE, CPH, Certificate of Attendance for OTs and PTs and pharmacists

For students from all schools and programs at the Health Sciences Center
