Jefferson Medical Center hosts Fourth Annual Community Baby Shower
RANSON, W.Va. – WVU Medicine Jefferson Medical Center will host its Fourth Annual Community Baby Shower from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 21.
Mothers- and fathers-to-be as well as new moms and dads are invited to celebrate new life and parenthood by attending this free educational event to be held in the first floor conference room at Jefferson Medical Center in Ranson.
“The purpose of the Community Baby Shower is to provide a forum for expectant and new families to learn about topics that are important to the health and well-being of new babies,” stated Arlene Fernandez-Anderson, director of outreach and project management services at Jefferson Medical Center.
According to Fernandez-Anderson, attendees will have the opportunity to meet with Jefferson Medical Center professionals and community representatives to get answers to questions regarding all aspects of pregnancy to birth, to baby and beyond.
Information will be provided along with door prizes and refreshments. Community vendors will also be on site with information and giveaways. Free screenings will be offered along with tours of Jefferson Medical Center. Expecting moms will also have the opportunity to have an ultrasound picture taken of their baby, courtesy of the Radiology Department.
