Leaders share update on inclement weather plan
Winter Storm Jonas may have buried Morgantown and the surrounding area this weekend, but it has been “business as usual” at WVU Medicine-Ruby Memorial Hospital.
Patient care and hospital operations have continued uninterrupted thanks to employees who have rallied to assure patients continue to receive excellent care.
Leaders would like to thank everyone working extended hours, taking on extra responsibilities, volunteering in other departments and staying overnight. Once again, our employees have risen to the occasion.
WVU Medicine will continue to work in conjunction with state and local authorities as we dig out from the snow. No further snow accumulation is expected this weekend.
The WVU Medicine command center, located in Conference Room 3A/3B, will stay open until 9 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 25, to coordinate needs and issues, including employee housing and transportation, which will be provided until 9 a.m. Monday.
The off-campus parking lots will be available for employees to use on Monday. And all WVU Medicine outpatient clinics and pharmacies in Morgantown will be open and operating under a normal schedule.
