Event Date: 09/13/2017 from 01:00 PM - 02:00 PM

Event Location: Mountaineer Mall, Morgantown

The WVU School of Public Health and Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) will co-host a series of events focused on aging, elder abuse, and public health policy. Two separate lectures will feature Pamela B. Teaster, PhD, a fellow of the Gerontological Society of America and the Association for Gerontology in Higher Education.

Dr. Teaster’s first lecture, “Elder Abuse and the Public’s Health,” is the first in the School of Public Health’s Dean’s Colloquium Series. The lecture will be held from 3-4 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 12, in Room G119-B, Health Sciences Center North. A question/answer session and reception will follow the lecture.

The following day, Wednesday, Sept. 13, Teaster will be featured in OLLI’s 11th Annual Irving Goodman Aging Lecture. “Charting a Direction in Turbulent Times: The Past, Present, and Future of Policies Affecting Older Adults” will be held at the Mountaineer Mall from 1-2 p.m.

Following the Sept. 13 lecture, OLLI will host its annual fall open house event, an opportunity to learn about the upcoming fall term and course offerings.

All events are free and open to the public.
