Local physicians receive board certification

Board certification confers a standard of excellence in knowledge and practice to physicians who not only certify via the examination process, but who also work diligently on the maintenance of these skills during the cycle between examinations.

Affiliated with the Regional Medical Center, Dr. Adam A. Allie of Family Practice Associates of Holly Hill is a native of Mt. Pleasant. He received his medical degree from West Virginia University School of Medicine in Morgantown, completed an internship at AnMed Health in Anderson, and his residency in family practice at Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital in Kingsport, Tenn. Prior to medical school, Allie received a bachelor of science degree in biology/psychology from the University of South Carolina in Columbia.

Also affiliated with RMC, Dr. William E. O’Quinn is a native of Branchville. He has been in practice for more than 37 years in Branchville. O’Quinn received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston and his family practice training at Spartanburg General Hospital in Spartanburg. He has been board-certified since 1978. Prior to medical school, O’Quinn received a bachelor of science degree in biology from Furman University in Greenville.
