Mother's Day flower and fern sale to benefit cancer patients

The third annual Mother’s Day flower and fern sale to benefit patients at the WVU Cancer Institute Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center is underway. Giant ferns cost $25 each and hanging baskets are $20 each.

Pre-orders are being accepted through Friday, May 4. Cash payment is required at the time of order. Call Mary Anne at 304-598-4549 or Jessica at 304-598-4978. The plants will be delivered on Friday, May 11, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Cancer Center parking lot and on Saturday, May 12, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Golden Corral Restaurant parking lot on Monongahela Boulevard. A limited number of cash-and-carry plants will be available on those dates.

The money raised from the plant sale will benefit the Cancer Center’s Comfort Fund, which helps patients with various areas of need associated with cancer treatment, including medication costs, lodging, transportation, and other supportive and social services.
