New employee parking lot opens at former site of K-Mart

A new employee off-campus parking area, in a lot where K-Mart used to be located near the Morgantown Mall in Westover, will open Monday, Feb. 5.

The lot is paved and will hold 416 vehicles.

Also, starting Monday, Feb. 19, the employee parking area in Star City, near Golden Corral, will close.

As of Feb. 19, the off-campus parking locations will be the WVU Research Park lot and the K-Mart lot, with the shuttles running continuously from Monday at 4 a.m. to Saturday at 8 a.m.
