The results for the 2016 employee and faculty engagement surveys are in!

On Monday, Oct. 24, a consultant from Press-Ganey will be on site to discuss survey results. The following sessions will occur in the Eye Institute Auditorium, located on the second floor.

  • All WVU Medicine-WVU Hospitals employees and faculty members are invited to an overview session about the employee and faculty survey results from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Registration is not necessary.
  • Faculty members can attend sessions specific to faculty survey results from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or from 4-5 p.m. Registration is not necessary.
  • Leadership sessions regarding the employee survey results will take place from 10-11:30 a.m. and 2:30-4 p.m. Attendees should sign up in NetLearning for one session.

The participation rate for this year's employee engagement survey was 92 percent, which exceeded the organization's goal of 87 percent. The response rate for the faculty engagement survey was 81 percent. Survey results were recently released to leaders across the organization.

In addition, two individual prize winners were randomly selected through a badge number drawing by Press-Ganey. Winners Margaret Denny from the Emergency Department and Katherine Conley from Video Monitoring received gift baskets.

Group participation prizes were determined through tracking work unit response rates during the first and second halves of the survey. Random drawings were conducted from among those units that achieved 100 percent participation. Winners chose a Keurig beverage machine or a supply of coffee and/or tea K-cups for Keurig machines. The four work unit winners from these drawings were: Patient Financial Services, Jennifer Tichnell; UTC Pediatrics, Jennifer Gerdes; Nutrition - Chestnut Ridge, Debra Bair; and Family Medicine, Susan Lewis.
