Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at WVU Receives 2015 Best of Morgantown Award

Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at WVU has been selected for the 2015 Best of Morgantown Award in the Education category by the Morgantown Award Program.

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at West Virginia University, known as OLLI at WVU, provides programs and educational opportunities designed for adults 50 and over. OLLI at WVU is a membership organization within the School of Public Health at West Virginia University that recognizes the unique experiences, capabilities, and wisdom of mature members of the community.  OLLI at WVU emphasizes the sharing of ideas through peer learning, member participation, and collaborative leadership.

Each year, the Morgantown Award Program identifies organizations that we believe have achieved exceptional success in their local community and award category. These exceptional organizations help make the Morgantown area a great place to live, work and play.

Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2015 Morgantown Award Program focuses on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the Morgantown Award Program and data provided by third parties.

The Morgantown Award Program is an annual awards program honoring the achievements and accomplishments of local organizations throughout the Morgantown area. Recognition is given to those that have shown the ability to use their best practices and implemented programs to generate competitive advantages and long-term value.
