Patient monitored in IPCU released

A patient who was being monitored in the IPCU (Infection Protection and Containment Unit) for conditions associated with MERS has been released. Test results confirmed that the patient, who had recently traveled outside of the country, does not have MERS.

While there was no concern for Ebola, the IPCU precautions were taken to assure strict adherence with both airborne and contact isolation.
