Patient Safety now part of Nursing Administration

WVU Medicine’s Patient Safety Program has become a part of Nursing Administration, and Vicki Chase is serving as the nurse manager.

Patient Safety currently has 31 employees and is continuing to recruit for more. The program is hiring for all shifts; casual, part-time, and full-time positions are available.

Patient Safety clinical associates are trained to provide one-on-one patient care as ordered by the provider. Clinical associates are responsible for providing care for all activities of daily living, as well as vital signs, fingersticks, and intake and output.

The clinical associates align with nursing to foster safety and exemplary patient care.
