Riders wanted: Vanpool program offers convenient option for commuters

Mountain Line Transit and the Morgantown Monongalia Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) are encouraging WVU Medicine employees to participate in a vanpool through its vRide program.

Vanpools typically consist of 5-15 commuters with similar origination and destination locations.

Interested individuals can visit http://busride.org/Fares-Programs/Vanpool for examples of pricing and vehicle types. The cost will be divided by the number of commuters in the vanpool and eligible participants would receive a subsidy (either $300 for 10 months or $500 for 6 months) that will defray the cost.
