J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, a WVU Medicine hospital, recently received a platinum award from Donate Life West Virginia and the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) for its commitment to educate employees and the community about the crucial need for organ, eye, and tissue donation.

WVU Medicine employees supported Donate Life West Virginia through the West Virginia Hospital Challenge, which also encouraged individuals to register as donors and provided them with opportunities to sign up.

Hospitals were awarded platinum, gold, silver, and bronze awards for building a culture of donation within their facilities. For a complete list, which features other WVU Medicine hospitals, click here.
