Samantha Richards named chief nursing officer at Berkeley and Jefferson

Samantha Richards has been named vice president and chief nursing officer of WVU Medicine's Berkeley and Jefferson Medical Centers. Most recently the director of medical surgical nursing on the Morgantown campus, she has served at WVU Medicine for 18 years.

She received her bachelor's and master's degrees in nursing, and a Master of Business Administration from Waynesburg University.

"Samantha has lead numerous successful projects," Dottie Oakes, WVU Medicine vice president and chief nursing officer, said. "She has been a true asset to WVU Medicine, and I am sure she will do an excellent job in her new position."
