WVU Academic Innovation (AI) has awarded grants to several faculty members to spur the integration of technology into the classroom. Five individuals from the WVU School of Medicine earned grants.

WVU Department of Neurobiology and Anatomy Teaching Professor Holly Ressetar, Ph.D., and Professional Technologist Bruce Palmer will purchase interactive software to stimulate student interaction in the study of histology.

WVU Department of Orthopaedics Assistant Professor Matthew Dietz, M.D., Research Assistant Suzanne Danley and Resident Phillip Bostian, M.D., will purchase a GoPro camera to videotape surgeries and create a library of film for medical students.

The awardees are expected to incorporate the technology into the classroom during the 2015-16 academic year and present their findings in a poster session next year.
