SOM website top navigation update

Based on feedback from School of Medicine departments, the HSC Web Development team has been successful in petitioning the University Relations-Web team to customize the top navigation for the entire SOM website so that those links reflect the department, division, campus or sub-site pages. All department sites have been updated to reflect this change.

Please note, the top navigation bar is customizable within the approved categories listed below. These categories auto-populate from your listings and only will show pages with one of the following names:

  • About
  • About Us
  • Contact
  • Faculty
  • Faculty & Staff
  • Faculty and Staff
  • Fellowships
  • Residents
  • Research
  • Students
  • Support Us

Departments will not be able to add specialized links in the top navigation bar, in part due to how websites load and view on mobile and tablet devices. You may utilize the “Get Started” and “Additional Resources” areas to highlight other pages and even those in the top navigation to make sure they do not go overlooked.
