Sponsor a butterfly for the upcoming Service of Remembrance

Each year WVU Medicine Children's invites patient families to remember and honor their child or children at the Service of Remembrance. Last year, more than 35 children's memories were honored by several hundred individuals in attendance at the annual private family memorial service and reception.

This year's event is scheduled for Friday, June 3, from 5-8:30 p.m., at the Okey Patteson Auditorium.

How can you help?

Monarch butterflies may be sponsored for $10 each, in memory of or in honor of a loved one, and will be released in a public mass butterfly release ceremony at 6:30 p.m. outside the Health Sciences Center. To sponsor a butterfly, fill out the request form and follow the payment instructions. The deadline to request a butterfly is Friday, May 27.

All proceeds will benefit the WVU Medicine Children’s Supportive Care Program Fund.
