Springtime ENT Issues Topic of Community Seminar

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. – WVU Medicine University Healthcare and the WVU Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center Eastern Division will sponsor a community mini-medical school program on common ear, nose and throat (ENT) problems.
The seminar titled Sinuses, Sniffles & Snoring will be held on Tuesday, April 19 at 7 pm in the auditorium of the WVU Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center on the Berkeley Medical Center campus.  
The guest speaker is Chadi Makary, MD, an otolaryngologist with University Ear, Nose & Throat Associates.  Dr. Makary is an Assistant Professor at the WVU School of Medicine and is on the medical staff at both Berkeley Medical Center and Jefferson Medical Center. 
Springtime ENT concerns will be discussed along with other common ear, nose and throat problems including obstructive sleep apnea (snoring).  Dr. Makary will also talk about the medical surgical treatments for these debilitating problems.
Registration for the mini-medical school program begins at 6:30 pm with the program to follow from 7 – 8 pm.  Light refreshments will be offered at the conclusion of the seminar.
