T-shirt sale benefits cancer research at the WVU Cancer Institute

A T-shirt sale is underway with all proceeds benefitting the Let the Journey Begin Fund at the WVU Cancer Institute. Learn more.

The Let the Journey Begin Fund was created in 2011 by Erin "Poppy" Polak after her aunt, Erin Dunmire, who is manager of guest services at WVU Medicine, was diagnosed with brain cancer. The name of the fund was inspired by Dunmire, who always told Polak that life is a journey and to enjoy the moments.

Monies in the Let the Journey Begin Fund benefit brain cancer research and provide comfort for adult brain cancer patients at the WVU Cancer Institute.

Another fundraiser benefitting the fund is Just Desserts, which is set for Saturday, June 11, at St. John University Parish in Morgantown. Learn more.
