The Wellness Center at Berkeley Medical Center offering free nutrition series

MARTINSBURG, W.VA. - The Wellness Center is offering a free nutrition lecture series with Joan Starliper, M.S., R.D., L.D.  The first session in the series is Tuesday, April 5 at 11:30 a.m. and repeated again at 6:30 p.m. in the Cardiac Rehab Area of The Wellness Center at Berkeley Medical Center in the McCormack Center. The session will be “Diabetes:  What Can I Eat?”

“The purpose of the Quarterly Nutrition Series is to present practical nutrition information to help you make informed decisions that will have a positive impact on your health and well-being,” Dana DeJarnett, health promotion specialist for The Wellness Center, said.  

Starliper added, “We will be introducing you to latest nutrition information to help you add new, tasty, and affordable foods into your diet, which also happen to be healthy.” 

The series will include a taste testing of foods related to the topic.  

Programs are free and open to all. Pre-registration is required.
