'Try This' conference for healthcare professionals scheduled for June 1
The WVU Medicine community has an opportunity to build upon existing relationships, and grow new ones, at the "Try This" conference. The conference, targeted specifically for healthcare professionals, is being held Thursday, June 1, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the campus of West Virginia Wesleyan College in Buckhannon.
The event offers a day of evidence-based strategies for identifying, preventing, and reversing obesity, diabetes, and metabolic roots of disease.
Continuing education opportunities will be provided at the "Try This" conference, where more than 500 West Virginians, all determined to affect change, will collaborate to create healthier communities.
Emma Eggleston, MD, nationally recognized lifestyle medicine expert, is developing the conference in coordination with colleagues on WVU's Eastern campus, the "Try This" staff, the Future of Nursing, and the nutrition department of the Pierpont Community and Technical College.
