UHA board members named

Several WVU physicians have been elected to a two-year term on the University Health Associates (UHA) Board of Directors.

Larry Rhodes, MD, of the WVU Department of Pediatrics, and Alison Wilson, MD, of the WVU Department of Surgery, have been re-elected. Kathy Moffett, MD, of the WVU Department of Pediatrics, and Stanley Zaslau, MD, of the WVU Department of Surgery, are new appointments.

They will serve from July 2017 through June 2019.

Continuing to fulfill their terms are Matthew Ellison, MD, of the WVU Department of Anesthesiology; Sanford Emery, MD, of the WVU Department of Orthopaedics; and Michael Hurst, MD, of the WVU Department of Otolaryngology.

University Health Associates is the business name for the WVU Medical Corporation, a private, not-for-profit corporation composed of faculty members of the WVU School of Medicine. The WVU Medical Corporation is West Virginia’s largest multi-specialty physician practice. Its Morgantown operations are jointly operated with WVU Hospitals.

UHA also operates faculty clinics around the state and provides support to faculty members who practice at a number of West Virginia hospitals.
