University Medical Laboratories offers Direct Access Testing

Direct Access Testing, also known as direct-to-consumer and patient-directed testing, is available at University Medical Laboratories at the WVU Medicine Operation Supports Center, located on University Avenue.

This service allows individuals to choose the laboratory tests they would like from a limited menu. Payment (cash, check, or credit card) is required at the time of testing as insurance will not be billed. No physician consultation is necessary, but the consumer/patient is responsible for any follow-up with his/her clinician.
