Volunteer, donor opportunities to aid WV flood victims available

Volunteer opportunities to help with West Virginia flood relief efforts are available through Volunteer West Virginia.

Also, on Saturdays throughout the summer, volunteers are asked to gather in the parking lot of Suncrest United Methodist Church (479 Van Voorhis Rd., Morgantown) at 7 a.m. to travel two hours to Clendenin, one of the areas affected by the flood. The group will return the same day at 5 p.m. Suncrest United Methodist Church will provide the vans and supplies. Please bring rubber boots and a lunch.

Participants do not have to register for thee trips. However, in order to have a general sense of the group size, which will determine how many jobs can be handled, sign-ups are encouraged. Click on the link to sign up or text your name and the dates available to 304-641-6088, or call 304-641-6088 and leave a voicemail with your name and dates available. If you are handy and are willing to be a team leader, please indicate that as well.
