WV Medical Journal - “West Virginians & Tobacco Cessation: What’s Working, What’s Not & What Now?”

West Virginia Prevention Research Center staff members Catherine Whitworth and Bob Anderson are published in the July/August 2014 special issue of the West Virginia Medical Journal. Both collaborated with the WV Division of Tobacco and Prevention & partners on two separate articles. The issue provides seven specific topics of particular interest and importance to West Virginians and their physicians. The theme of this issue, “West Virginians & Tobacco Cessation: What’s Working, What’s Not & What Now?” is thoroughly explored by the authors through commentary, scientific research and informational articles.

Topics include an update and review of E-cigarettes, a review on adolescent smoking cessation methods, tobacco control policies in West Virginia, regulations protecting West Virginians from secondhand smoke, prenatal smoking cessation methods, an analysis of dual tobacco users and an update on adolescent tobacco cessation efforts.
