WVU Healthcare hosting two weight loss surgery information sessions in April

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – If you have attempted multiple diet and exercise programs and still haven’t kept the weight off, bariatric surgery may be for you. The WVU Healthcare Bariatrics: Comprehensive Surgical Weight Loss Program is holding two free information sessions for interested individuals at 6 p.m. on April 7 and 23 at the WVU Erickson Alumni Center.

Candidates for weight loss surgery should be at least 100 pounds overweight and committed to a healthy lifestyle. The free information session provides patients with information on the different weight-loss surgeries offered at WVU Healthcare Bariatrics, including roux-en-y gastric bypass surgery, adjustable gastric banding, and sleeve gastrectomy procedures.

Attendance at a session is a mandatory first step for program participants. Reservations are required; please call 304-293-1728 to secure a spot in an upcoming seminar. Future seminars will be held on May 5 and 19 at the Alumni Center.

Those attending the seminar are welcome to bring one adult support member (over the age of 18) with them.

Free parking is available on site.
