WVU Healthcare to hold United Way Fall Fest Oct. 6

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Lights! Camera! Action! Hollywood is the theme for this year’s WVU Healthcare United Way Fall Fest event, open to the community and employees. Festivities will run from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 6 at WVU Healthcare’s East-West Concourse located outside near the Gold-South Parking Garage (Farmer’s Market location) and from 1 a.m. to 3:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 6 in the Ruby Cafeteria.

Employees and visitors may purchase raffle tickets ($1 each or six for $5) for the chance to win prizes such as Steelers tickets with a parking pass, a spa package, WVU football tickets, a variety of themed gift baskets and much more.

Low-priced refreshments will also be available, including popcorn, nachos, cotton candy, hot dogs and more. For those with a sweet tooth, Cold Stone Creamery ice cream and bake sale items will be available.

“This is the first year we’re integrated as a healthcare system. It gives us an opportunity to really be together as one,” Brad Foringer, administrative director of Respiratory Care Services and Pulmonary Function at WVU Healthcare and co-chair of the United Way Campaign, said. “We’re all going toward the same goal.”

This year’s goal is to raise $200,000 to benefit the United Way of Monongalia and Preston counties.
