WVU Healthcare University Town Centre open house set for today

Before providers at the WVU Healthcare University Town Centre (UTC) see their first patients at the new building on May 4, employees will have the opportunity to check out the facility. An open house for employees is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, May 1. Light refreshments and tours will be available.

To accommodate employees who need transportation, shuttle buses will operate from Ruby Memorial Hospital to the UTC parking lot. The open house shuttle will leave from the current Ruby shuttle location, and there will be a sign on the bus window that indicates it is traveling to the UTC open house. The last open house shuttle will leave Ruby for the UTC at approximately 2:30 p.m., while the final shuttle will depart from the UTC at approximately 3:10 p.m. and head back to Ruby.

The celebration will continue that evening at the new baseball park, located next to the UTC. At 6 p.m., the WVU Baseball Team plays Texas Christian University. WVUH President and CEO Albert L. Wright, Jr., will throw the first pitch of the game.

Employees can purchase $5 tickets to the game. Visit http://ev10.evenue.net/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/EVExecMacro?linkID=wvu&evm=prmo&RSRC=&RDAT=&caller=PR, enter the promotional code WVUH and follow the links to purchase tickets.
