WVU home football game will cause parking changes
WVU's home football game against Liberty on Saturday, Sept. 12, at Milan Puskar Stadium will cause parking changes for employees who are working during the game. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m.
As of 2 a.m. Saturday mornings, all parking areas between Ruby Memorial Hospital and Milan Puskar Stadium, as well as those along Willowdale Road, will resort to football game parking. Any cars parked in these lots after 2 a.m. will be towed. If you plan to work after 2 a.m., or if there is a chance you will have to stay in the hospital past 2 a.m., park in WVU Area 80, located behind the Health Sciences Center.
All patient admissions and discharges will be controlled through the Emergency Department entrance doors, as a result of the hospital’s main canopy entrance being closed, starting at 2 a.m. Saturday mornings on football weekends. The main entrance will re-open at 8 a.m. Sunday mornings.
WVU Medicine employees are reminded that, due to limited spaces, you may need to utilize off-campus parking. Shuttle buses will run until midnight Friday evening for your convenience.
WVU Medicine employees arriving and working after 5 p.m. Friday through Sunday morning should park in WVU Area 80 during the day and evening hours. Display your game-day parking permit, even if you also have an Area 80 pass.
