WVU Medicine releases its first system-wide annual report

The WVU Medicine 2016 Annual Report, the system’s first annual report, is now available online. The report covers the year’s highlights such as several first-in-state procedures, growth of the system, patient stories, community outreach, and more.

Some highlights include:

• Partnerships with community hospitals
• WVU Medicine’s response to the 1,000-year flood
• New opportunities in telemedicine
• A pediatric clinical trials network for West Virginia
• Advances in joint replacement
• A new way for the WVU Cancer Institute to coordinate with regional cancer doctors
• One year of partnering with the U.S. Army Special Forces
• A clinical trial for complex brain aneurysms
