WVU Medicine September faculty arrivals

EMERGENCY MEDICINE
Sara Farjo, DO
joins the Department of Emergency Medicine’s Student Health/Urgent Care clinics. Dr. Farjo completed family medicine residency at Rutgers and a women’s health fellowship at MacNeal Hospital, Berwyn, IL.

FAMILY MEDICINE
Melody Phillips, MD joins the Department of Family Medicine faculty after having completed their patient-centered medical home fellowship. She completed family medicine residency at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Illinois.

HEART AND VASCULAR INSTITUTE
Bryan Raybuck, MD
joins the WVU Heart and Vascular Institute’s interventional cardiology service.   He was most recently the Director of Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories and Co-Director of the Structural Heart Program at Inova Heart and Vascular Institute in Falls Church, VA.  He received his medical training at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

Jonathan Lanham, MD joins the WVU Heart and Vascular Institute. He completed all of his medical training at WVU: interventional cardiology and cardiovascular diseases fellowships, internal medicine residency, and MD. He will practice at non-invasive cardiology at both Garrett Regional Medical Center and Ruby Memorial Hospital.

MEDICINE
Min Deng, MD
joins the Department of Medicine as a dermatologic surgeon. She will perform Mohs micrographic surgery among other dermatologic procedures.  She completed a micrographic surgery and cutaneous oncology fellowship at Cooper University Hospital and did her dermatology residency at the University of Chicago.

NEUROLOGY
Kristina Lopez, MD
joins the Department of Neurology’s Headache service. Dr. Lopez completed a headache fellowship at Baylor and neurology residency at WVU. She is also a WVU School of Medicine alum.

ORTHOPAEDICS
Shafic Sraj, MD
joins the Department of Orthopaedics.  Dr. Sraj is a hand, elbow and shoulder surgeon and most recently practiced at Weston Orthopedic and Sports Medicine. He completed fellowships in sports medicine, hand and upper extremity surgery, and hand surgery.

PATHOLOGY
Sarah Kallas, MD
joins the Department of Pathology and will practice at Davis Memorial Hospital. She was most recently a staff pathologist at Bayless-Pathmark, Inc in Middleburg Heights, OH. She completed surgical pathology fellowship at Vanderbilt, cytopathology fellowship at MetroHealth, Cleveland, and pathology residency at Northside Medical Center in Youngstown.

PEDIATRICS
Nasser Moiduddin, MD
joins the Department of Pediatrics. He completed an interventional pediatric cardiology fellowship at UCSD and pediatric cardiology fellowship at Nationwide Children's Hospital. He also did a pediatric cardiology fellowship at The Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto. He was a pediatrics resident at Cleveland Clinic.

Claudiu Faraon-Pogaceanu, MD joins the Department of Pediatrics Critical Care service.    He completed a fellowship in pediatric critical care medicine at Yale and pediatric residency at Flushing Hospital Medical Center in NY. He also trained and practiced in the UK.

Shana Vore, MD joins the Department of Pediatrics and will be a pediatric hospitalist at Camden Clark Medical Center. She was most recently a pediatrician at Holzer Health System in Gallipolis, OH. She was on the pediatric hospitalist service at Akron Children's prior to that.
