WVU Pharmacy students providing free Medicare Part D information sessions

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Medicare Part D open enrollment ends Monday, Dec. 7. Student pharmacists from the WVU School of Pharmacy chapter of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) can help answer your questions on choosing your plan.

The Medicare Part D information sessions will be 8-10 a.m. and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, at the Suncrest United Methodist Church, located at 479 Van Voorhis Road in Morgantown.

Additional sessions will be 1-4 p.m. both Friday, Nov. 13, and Tuesday, Nov. 17, at American Pharmacy, located inside Shop ‘n Save in the Middletown Mall Shopping Center, 9789 Mall Loop, in Fairmont.

The student pharmacists will help answer questions about the Medicare Part D sign-up process, review the plans that meet your needs and discuss plans that fit your budget.

Information sessions are free, and appointments are not required. Attendees should bring a list of all current medications, number of days of the supply and dosage amounts.
