WVU to kick off 150th birthday celebration Feb. 7

WVU President E. Gordon Gee and other campus leaders will be at the Health Sciences Center Pylons at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, to celebrate the start of WVU's 150th anniversary year.

The University will kick off a year-long celebration that same day with events at the Pylons and two other campus locations.

The Davis College, the original academic unit at the University, will host the first event at 12:30 p.m. in the main lobby of the Agricultural Sciences Building. The Mountainlair’s lower grand staircase area will serve as the venue for a 5:30 p.m. event.

The Morgantown community will also get a chance to celebrate 150 years and counting at halftime of the Feb. 11 WVU-Kansas State men’s basketball game. Mark your calendars and stay tuned for more events and details throughout the year.
