Professional Programs
Here you will find links for students interested in the MD degree of the School of Medicine including our admissions information, and our many student events. The clinical education program includes four phases of supervised clinical experience, as well as three clinical symposia designed to bridge the gap between the classroom and clinic. The Master of Public Health program seeks students with a strong, genuine commitment to a career in Public Health. An MPH degree is appropriate for physicians, nurses, nutritionists, and other health care professionals with a strong interest in preventive medicine and community health. The program for Pathologists’ Assistants provides a high quality educational experience leading to a Master’s Degree in Health Science as a Pathologists’ Assistant. This degree prepares Pathologists’ Assistants for their integral role as a member of a healthcare team. Each summer, first year M.D. students have the opportunity to gain valuable research experience with faculty in their field of interest. This summer research internship is 10 weeks in length and includes a salary of $3,500. It’s expected that students will submit an abstract for oral presentation at the E.J. Van Liere Convocation or the poster presentation at Research Day the following spring. |
